Maui Tropical Plantation - An Agricultural Theme Park in Maui, Hawaii

Maui Tropical Plantation - Maui, HawaiiMaui Tropical Plantation is a 60-acre agricultural theme park located in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii. It is a working plantation featuring some of Hawaii's most important fruit and flower crops, such as coconuts, papaya, macadamia nuts, coffee, mango and guava. The site was a former sugarcane field.

One of its most popular attractions is the Tropical Tram Tour, a 40-minute guided tram tour of the grounds with informative narration that covers the growing process of different crops. The tour also includes a coconut husking demonstration and sampling of some of the plantations fresh produce.

Apart from the crops, the plantation also boasts of elaborately landscaped gardens bursting with native plants and colorful tropical blooms, making it a popular venue for weddings and other special events. The plantation can also be viewed from above via the numerous zip line facilities around the grounds operated by Maui Zip Lines.

The plantation also has an art gallery, gift shop and restaurant, called the Waikapu Grill, serving various Hawaiian dishes using fresh ingredients sourced right there on the farm.  There are also performance venues for both outdoor and indoor events.

Maui Tropical Plantation is located at 1670 Honoapiilani Highway, Wailuku, in Maui, Hawaii. It is open daily, from 9am to 5pm. Admission to the plantation is free; Tram ride tour tickets are priced at $16 for Adults and $6 for Children (ages 3-12).
